This house had been added onto over the years, it started out as a 1930’s bungalow and then had a large addon/reno in the 70’s. So when I started this project I had a budget I needed to stick to – renovation done 2015
What was done:
- wall taken down between kitchen and lounge and new beam put in
- spiral staircase down to garage removed as it was damp and dark and we put doors in and a floor to create the laundry as it was in the garage
- new kitchen
- new bathrooms
- one of the bedrooms was an office off the lounge with a fireplace – we closed that wall and made another bedroom smaller to make it into another bedroom so the house went from 3 bedrooms to 4 bedrooms
- painted inside and outside
- new light fittings
- window treatments
- new carpet
- stained and polished floors
- decking built and outdoor fireplace
